The Team
Karina and Jim
Jim was an elementary school principal with 30+ years of carpentry/construction work under his belt. Karina is a marriage & family therapist who recently completed the University of California Master Gardener Program and is a certified yoga instructor. Together, they are the backbone of Polestar Farm and have created a beautiful space for healing and celebration.
Alden and Dani
Alden is a talented musician who owns Odd Petals, a business that deals mostly with screen-printing fine art and local band merchandise. He has printed all of our shirts, totes, produce boxes, and outdoor signage. Dani manages our social media accounts and coordinates the events at Polestar Farm, while also working at the nearby hospital. She hopes to soon fulfill her dream of becoming a Physician Assistant. They both are learning what it takes to be organic farmers, and feel very lucky to call Polestar their home.
George, Ringo, Paul, and Lola
These guys enjoy eating our grasses and weeds, and taking long naps in the shade. They have no problem yelling at us when they are ready to go to work, and will stay out in the field all day happily. We love them dearly and hope to have them here for a long time.
Odyssey and Sienna
These sisters enjoy nothing more than long naps on the couch and long evenings chasing a ball. They are full of personality and if you’re lucky you’ll hear Odyssey singing along to the ambulances or firetrucks that pass by.
